Mount Lindeman & Upper Hanging Lake
Skagit Mountain Range / Chilliwack, BC Region

We drove up 9 km on the Centre Creek logging road to the trailhead of Mt Lindeman. Gopi’s Rav 4 had enough clearance and we were fornate to have made it to the trailhead.

At the start of the hike from the trailhead, the first 4 km hike was flat with some overgrown bushes. We reached the halfway mark in about an hour. From there, the next 4 kms was pure elevation over 1200m of elevation gain.

We hit boulders in the last 2 kms where the trail became quite technical balancing on loose rocks and hopping over boulders.

In the last 700m, we ended up at the ridge of Mount Lindeman with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and Upper Hanging Lake. We continued to scramble up on loose rocks and over big boulders.

The last few 100m was quite sketchy but not exposed but with huge boulders which we had to hp over and reach the true summit of Mount Lindeman.

The views at the top were spectacular with full view of US and Canadian Coastal mountains.

MOUNTAIN STATS
Elevation gain: approx. 1,423m
Mountain Height: approx. 2,312m
Distance: 15.9 km roundtrip
Level: Difficult
Time: 7-8 hours round trip
